Don't Neglect the Church's Mission

In the USA, church and politics have become intertwined. This causes us is to lose sight of the Church's mission. This important message from Pastor Kyle McDanell reminds us to stay focused on the work of proclaiming Christ Risen. By his death He trampled down death. He offers eternal life to all who put their trust in the Son of God. Jesus Christ alone is the way to freedom from sin, and the fountain of joy, peace, hope and eternal life. As unpopular as this assertion may be, it is claimed by millions around the world who have "put on Christ" (Romans 13:14, Galatians 3:27, and Ephesians 4:24).

Pastor McDanell's message cannot be repeated often enough! He wrote:

Churches are not corporations motivated by profit, governments motivated by power, or institutions motivated by influence. A church is a community of believers who live for their Savior. It seeks the glory of God through the salvation of souls and the discipleship of its members. Its mission is simple, yet far reaching.

The faithful church is forever relevant because sin requires a Savior and communities require the church.

God still moves and his best work is through the local church. It requires saints to commit themselves to local ministry and to take personal discipleship seriously.

Although the world praises the mighty and the famous, the Kingdom of God honors the faithful.
