The Second Triumph of Christ’s Resurrection

Through the triumph of Christ’s resurrection (John 14:19-20; 1 Corinthians15:20-22), God gives new and eternal life to those joined to Him by faith (1 John 5:11-13). Everyone misses the mark when it comes to God’s standard of holiness. The resulting separation from Him and our habitual bent to ignore or reject Him are the wages of sin. The benefit of His crucifixion, burial, and rising from the dead validates the forgiveness of sin, and wrong acts it produces (sins). "When you were dead in your transgressions and the un-circumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions" (Colossians 2:13 NASU).

So along with victory over death, (Part I), God gives us a second victory: redemption! We have been bought back by our Creator through his own acts through Christ, not ours. We now belong to him and the Lord has purposed "… to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight” (Col1:22). How exciting! God alive gives eternal life to those who trust him, and opens the way for them to being their redemptive journey in his living, purposeful presence!
